It's not much fun being a measurer: a lot of work for not much reward, and yet we need to keep each boat within class. Thus measurers are important, and they are entitled to be paid for their work.

The RYA recommends that they charge at the rate of at least £18 per hour, with travelling expenses.

To help support our own full measurers the National Scorpion Association offers each year to pay their (obligatory) personal subscription to the RYA.
