FURTHER TO MY NOTE YESTERDAY, ROGER HAS SAID THAT AN EARLIER ARRIVAL WOULD BE BETTER - PLEASE SEE INFORMATION BELOW. Arrival should be no later than 4pm - but 3pm if you can possibly make it. Sorry for any confusion. K
Hi everyone Just wanted to remind those of you who are going to Looe next week about the arrival details. You can find details of maps, NoR, health and safety etc etc info all on the Nationals webpage.
Driving through the High Street with the boat is always an interesting experience - be patient - most the time people have no idea there is a car and boat beind them! They're on holiday remember? And so are we! When you get to the unloading area please listen to the instructions from Looe club members.
Space is limited so you will need to unload, dump your stuff and then get your road trailer out to the trailer park as soon as possible. This is a couple of miles out of town but won't take long and is very straight forward. I know being hassled as soon as you arrive to "get a move on" is a bit frustrating but it just makes life easier in the long run.
There is no sailing on saturday but we are going to be weighing all boats so be prepared for that. Also, it is Looe Carnival on Saturday night so the High Street will be closed from late afternoon. Re the carnival - all competitors to be IN LOOE by 3pm if at all possible as it will take time to unload, berth and take trailers to West Wayland -but definitely no later than 4pm.
Sun and gentle breezes have been booked - so its just a case of turning up and having a brilliant week.
Yep that's right Sarah. The car park tickets and all other information will be in the packs and pre ordered t shirts etc will also be available at registration.... As soon as you drop off boat, Steve can get the pack , pass you the car park ticket and then you can take trailer back to trailer park and find a spot in the car park on your return - getting a lovely ice cream as you walk back to the dinghy park. By that time, Steve will have rigged up the boat!! Perfect!!!
